Read\/Download AR Urbanism’s Final Report \u00a0<\/strong>here<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n Headington Action<\/strong><\/a> and\u00a0Headington Neighbourhood Forum<\/strong>\u00a0took action to help improve Headington Centre. Headington Action has undertaken work to realise the vision. The first step was the preparation of the Headington Centre Improvement Plan.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Headington Action commissioned urban design practice AR Urbanism<\/strong><\/a>, with the support of Wedderburn Transport Planning<\/strong><\/a>, to develop the plan.<\/p>\n\n\n\n From May 2022 the AR Urbanism team worked on the plan. This included reviewing issues and opportunities for change, an online survey, and coming up with ideas for potential improvement projects. Following consultation on the ideas (see below) the team prepared a document (the plan) to explain the projects. Projects will range in size from small to large scale. Working with Headington Action local people in Headington have put together a\u00a0vision for the future of Headington Centre<\/a><\/strong>. This involves making the centre welcoming, inclusive, and easily accessible for all, fostering active travel, a stronger identity, lively gathering spaces and a vibrant evening economy.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The plan will be used to deliver improvements in the future, as and when funding is available.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
An exhibition of draft ideas for the Headington Centre Improvement Plan took place on Saturday 29 October, between 10am and 3pm, at St Andrew\u2019s CoE Primary School in Headington.
The exhibition explained the background work undertaken by the AR Urbanism team, summarised key survey findings, presented the vision for the Centre, and described a range of potential improvement ideas.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
