Headington has a rich, but not well known, history. To tell the story, eight electronic speakers have been installed along London Road and in Bury Knowle Park. The speakers are fixed in benches, on posts, even in a cut-out model of a shark. At each location you can select from six recordings, each about 90 seconds long. The electronics are powered by solar panels, or \u2013 especially for the kids – by wind up.<\/span><\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n
