Prompted by\u00a0<a title=\"Headington Action\" href=\"http:\/\/headingtonaction.org\/\" target=\"_blank\">Headington Action<\/a>, amenity groups, residents\u2019 organisations and individuals in Headington came together and decided to set up the Headington Neighbourhood Forum, covering broadly the Headington area\u00a0(see the Our Area page for an explanation of how that area is to be determined).<\/p>\n<p>The diagram below shows the keys stages in the process:<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/headingtonplan.org.uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/04\/NP_Process_Diagram-300x190.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-medium wp-image-4085\" src=\"http:\/\/headingtonplan.org.uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/04\/NP_Process_Diagram-300x190-330x220.jpg\" alt=\"NP_Process_Diagram-300x190\" width=\"330\" height=\"220\" srcset=\"https:\/\/headingtonplan.org.uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/04\/NP_Process_Diagram-300x190-330x220.jpg 330w, https:\/\/headingtonplan.org.uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/04\/NP_Process_Diagram-300x190-400x266.jpg 400w, https:\/\/headingtonplan.org.uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/04\/NP_Process_Diagram-300x190-450x300.jpg 450w, https:\/\/headingtonplan.org.uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/04\/NP_Process_Diagram-300x190.jpg 600w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 330px) 100vw, 330px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>The aim of the Forum is to develop a neighbourhood plan.\u00a0Headington Neighbourhood Plan, once adopted, will complement the\u00a0<a title=\"Local Plan\" href=\"http:\/\/www.oxford.gov.uk\/PageRender\/decP\/Oxford_Local_Plan_occw.htm\" target=\"_blank\">Local Plan<\/a>\u00a0produced by Oxford City Council in that it will express the views of the community of residents and workers in Headington. \u00a0These views on development and the environment of Headington will form a significant part of deciding any future planning applications in our area.<\/p>\n<p>The Forum is a group of volunteers from the local community and everyone who lives or works in Headington is invited to\u00a0become\u00a0a member.\u00a0See the Forum&gt;<a href=\"\/index.php\/get-involved\" target=\"_blank\">Get Involved<\/a> page to join.<\/p>\n<p>Developing the plan is going to entail a huge amount of work so the Forum will need all the help it can get.
