Policy Groups Uncovering Key Issues

The Forum’s six policy groups are hard at work identifying and discussing issues in their respective areas so that a survey can take place some time after the City Council is expected to designate the Forum (i.e. officially approves its existence) in early September. The survey is intended to prompt those who live, work or study in Headington to think about what they believe are the key issues.  If you have any issues that you think should feature in the survey, please contact the relevant group via their webpage.

Changing Patterns of Housing

Oxford City Council’s “Chart of the Month” website for Feb 2013 shows the changing patterns of housing cross Oxford as a whole from the 2001 Census to the 2011 Census. Equivalent data for the Headington Neighbourhood Forum (HNF) area collated by the Housing Policy Group (HPG) can be seen here.
See the HPG webpage for notes on the census data area and the effect of random changes made in census data by the ONS.

Headington Festival 2014

The Headington Festival and Sports Day in Bury Knowle Park last year was a great success. So much so that this year it will take place over two days (Saturday 31 May and Sunday 1 June). Saturday will be a Street Fair in the shopping centre (11 am to 3 pm) and Sunday the Festival and Sports Day (1 pm to 5 pm) in Bury Knowle Park. More details here. The Forum’s stall will be there to provide information and hear your views.
